Multi-Engine Instrument Rating
Multi Engine Instrument Rating
An instrument rating (formerly multi-engine command instrument rating/MECIR) is the essential next step in your aviation career. Five Point Aviation conduct the multi engine instrument rating in our P68 Partenavia and Instrument Synthetic Trainer with RNP LNAV/VNAV baro approach.
During your training with our charter and airline experienced instructors you will learn how to operate safely under the Instrument Flight Rules by day and night. You will be introduced to 2D approaches (the NDB approach, VOR approach and RNP/RNAV), as well as 3D approaches (ILS) in a practical and real world environment.
Shellharbour is an ideal location for instrument training with 2 RNP approaches and an NDB located on the airfield. We are in close proximity to Nowra and Richmond for ILS approaches.
For those training for a commercial pilot’s license, the Five Point Aviation Instrument Rating course can be completed during your hour building and will count towards the instrument time required for the CPL flight test.
